    Product literature for the Intrasonic Technology (IST) I2000 Music Distribution and Intercom System — a component-based whole-home audio and room-to-room communication system.

    Overview

    The I2000 system broadcasts stereo music throughout the home from a variety of sources (iPods, tablets, Android devices, MP3 players, CD players, computers, or AM/FM/satellite radio) and enables room-to-room conversations. The system is fully customizable with up to 20 zones/components.

    Music Distribution Features

    • Choice of 3 music source options (AM/FM radio, local source, or auxiliary input) at every station, so different rooms can play different sources
    • Built-in AM/FM radio with 10 preset options
    • Portable Music Player (PMP) Bay for MP3 players, satellite radios, and iOS/Android tablets/phones — downloaded or streamed music
    • Wireless music streaming with the optional Bluetooth Receiver
    • USB or Firewire connection to charge MP3 devices while playing
    • Individual volume controls for music at each station
    • Music automatically pauses during an intercom call and resumes once the call ends (except at stations engaged in the call)

    Intercom Communication Features

    • Automatic Selective Call technology — broadcasts voice calls throughout the home, then narrows to just the initiating and responding stations once answered
    • Hands-free communication for the receiving party
    • Audibly monitor single or multiple zones
    • Privacy function to disable other stations from listening in on a room
    • Hands-free operation at any station with optional IREMOTE control
    • 20-zone capacity

    Main System Components

    Component Description
    I2000M Master Station Main interface controlling music, intercom, volume, bass/treble, and clock. 15-1/2"w x 6-5/8"h. Available in white, almond, black.
    I2000R Room Station In-wall intercom selecting from 3 music sources; communicates with Master and Door stations. Optional remote for hands-free control. 6-1/4"w x 4-7/8"h. Interchangeable faceplates in white, almond, black.
    I2000P Patio Station Weather-resistant Room Station for outdoor protected areas (patio/porch). 6-1/4"w x 4-7/8"h.
    I2000D Door Station Weather-resistant interface with lighted blue bell button; verifies guest identity before opening the door via optional door/gate release; includes selectable door chimes. Available in white, almond, black plastic, oiled bronze, antique gold, or nickel metal finish.

    Bundles

    • I2000MPAC: Master Station, 5 Room Stations, 1 Patio Station, 1 Door Station
    • I2000MCPAC: Same as I2000MPAC, plus 2 pairs of I30C ceiling speakers

    Bundles do not include the I2000H rough-in kit needed to install the system.

    Accessories

    • Bluetooth Receiver: Multi-use adapter that Bluetooth-enables any music device with a 3.5mm jack
    • Auxiliary Wall Input (AUXWP): Wall input with its own treble, bass, and volume controls for CD/tape players, satellite radios, or computers
    • ACABLE: 18" cable with 3.5mm plug to connect personal music players to Master/Room Stations
    • I2000-HGR: Hanger bracket accessory for I2000R Room Stations to hold personal music players
    • IREMOTE: Full-function handheld remote for Master, Room, and Patio Stations
    • I2000VC Volume Control: Indoor amplified volume control with two-source option, for rooms without a full Room Station

    Wiring Overview

    Stations connect via CAT5 for control/communication, with 16-18 gauge 2-conductor wiring for speakers (8-Ohm I30C or I30W speakers supported at each station). The system supports up to 20 zones wired in series. AM/FM antennas are built into the Master Unit's in-wall housing. Optional door release hardware (I2000DR / I2000DRM) uses 16 gauge 2-conductor wire and a 12V AC/DC transformer.
