  • Interlogix NetworX Security Systems β€” Product Brochure

    August 31, 2026 2 min read

Product brochure for the Interlogix NetworX (NX) family of security control panels β€” NX-4, NX-6, NX-8, and NX-8E β€” plus compatible sensors, keypads, and peripherals.

    Full text manual (for reference)

    Overview

NetworX (NX) is a family of security system control panels and accessories from Interlogix that scale from small apartments to large commercial installations. A professional security dealer designs the system around defined protection zones β€” covered by specific sensors and detectors β€” while still allowing the whole residence to be armed or disarmed with a single button. When an alarm triggers, the system displays which zone/area and what type of event occurred (e.g. a window opening or motion detected).

    Sensors & Peripherals

    • Door/window sensors
    • Motion detectors
    • Magnetic contacts
    • Wireless smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
    • Keypads and keyfobs
    • Glassbreak and shock sensors
    • Wireless quick-bridge receivers and repeaters
    • Cellular-based communication modules
    • Proximity card readers / door control modules

Both hard-wired and wireless sensors are compatible with all NetworX products. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) connectivity allows monitoring and control from a web browser, with system event notifications by email, PDA, or phone.

    Control Panels

The control panel is the "brains" of the security system β€” coordinating sensor input and transmitting alarm monitoring information to a central monitoring station. All NetworX control panels include fire alarm verification capability to help prevent false alarms.

    • NX-4 β€” entry-level system with advanced burglary, fire, and environmental event detection. Cost-effective and easy to install; ideal for apartments, smaller homes, and commercial spaces. 4 standard hard-wired zones, expandable to 8 fully programmable hard-wired zones, 8 wireless zones, or a combination.
    • NX-6 β€” full-featured system for medium-sized residential/commercial applications. Modular design allows complete integration of multiple systems within one enclosure. 6 standard hard-wired zones, expandable to 12 hard-wired, 16 wireless, or a combination.
    • NX-8 / NX-8E β€” top-of-the-line systems for demanding home and commercial needs. Includes all NX-6 capabilities plus support for an extensive number of keypads and users. 8 standard zones, expandable to 48 (NX-8) or 192 (NX-8E) zones.

    Keypads

NetworX offers 13 different keypad options, including models with built-in wireless functionality. Keypads arm/disarm the system via numeric code entry, and feature:

    • Emergency keys β€” three dedicated buttons for one-touch contact to fire, EMS, or police.
    • Code entry keypad β€” optional audio tone on keypress, backlit keys for use in dark rooms.
    • Function keys β€” five pre-programmed keys for common one-touch functions.

Keypad formats available: LCD, LED, and Fixed English displays (e.g. NX-148E-RF with built-in 48-zone wireless receiver, NX-1516E LED keypad).

    Integration

NetworX systems integrate with many third-party control systems including home automation, lighting, HVAC, and audio, and support cellular backup for reliability. Optional accessories include wireless GSM communications and a TCP/IP interface for full web-based connectivity.
