Installation instructions for the Inovonics EN1216 EchoStream Universal Dual Input Transmitter with Wall Tamper.
Installation instructions for the Inovonics EN1216 EchoStream® Universal Dual Input Transmitter with Wall Tamper — a wireless dual-input transmitter with an integrated back tamper switch for wall-mounted contacts and sensors (Installation Instructions 05181E).
The EN1216 is a universal dual-input transmitter with an included wall tamper switch, usable with any NO/NC contact or sensor. It includes two inputs for maximum flexibility, and requires use of a serial receiver or network coordinator along with an application supporting advanced functionality.
The transmitter has a three-terminal contact block that connects inputs from one or two external contact loops. The middle terminal is a shared ground. Input one can be configured normally open or normally closed; input two is always normally closed.
The terminal ships set for normally closed, with no jumper on the N/O selection pins.
EchoStream products use a range of radio frequencies and must be configured for your geographic area:
Press the Reset button to complete configuration. Caution: Avoid touching the frequency band selection pins while pressing Reset — this can inadvertently set the wrong frequency band.
Transmitters must be registered with the system to be monitored and supervised, sending a check-in message every three minutes. Each transmitter has a unique factory-programmed identification number.
The EN1216 includes a back tamper switch. The tamper condition must be defined in the control panel as a trouble condition when the system is disarmed, and as an alarm condition when armed.
