Installation instructions for the Home Automation Model 30A00 Thermostat Power Supply Module (TPSM) — supplemental power for RC-80, RC-1000, and RC-2000 thermostats.
Installation instructions for the Home Automation Model 30A00 Thermostat Power Supply Module (TPSM) — a retrofit accessory that provides supplemental power to RC-80, RC-1000, and RC-2000 thermostats when the furnace control can't supply enough current.
The Model 30A00 Thermostat Power Supply Module is used with RC-80, RC-1000, and RC-2000 thermostats in retrofit situations when both of these conditions are true:
| TPSM Terminal | Wire Color | Furnace/Air Handler Terminal |
|---|---|---|
| COM | Black | — |
| W (Heat) | White | White (Heat) |
| Y (Cool) | Yellow | Yellow (Cool) |
| G (Fan) | — | Green (Fan) |
| R (Hot) | — | Red (Hot) |
On the RC-80 thermostat side, terminals R (Hot), G (Fan), Y (Cool), and W (Heat) connect through the wiring above to the TPSM and then to the furnace/air handler.
| TPSM Terminal | Wire Color | Furnace/Air Handler Terminal |
|---|---|---|
| COM | Black | — |
| W (Heat) | White | White (Heat) |
| Y (Cool) | Yellow | Yellow (Cool) |
| G (Fan) | — | Green (Fan) |
| R (Hot) | — | Red (Hot) |
On the RC-1000/RC-2000 Omnistat2 side, the thermostat's numbered terminals (8=G/Fan, 7=Y/Cool, 6=W/Heat, 1=R/Hot) wire through the TPSM to the furnace/air handler using the same color scheme as Figure 1.
