    3-Step Installation Overview

    Step 1 — Measure

    • Center the lock unit on the door.
    • Take the "nickel test": if a nickel (about 0.8 inches) fits between the bottom of the door and the floor, confirm the height is correct for the lock to catch the door properly.
    • Confirm the mounting height before drilling.

    Step 2 — Drill

    • Mark and drill pilot holes using the included lock template.
    • Clean the mounting surface before proceeding.

    Step 3 — Secure

    • Place the lock unit over the drilled pilot holes.
    • Drive in the 6 included screws to secure the unit to the floor/door base.

    How the Lock Engages

    When the wedge is in the locked (up) position, the lock stands 1.5 inches tall. The lifted gate needs to catch 0.25 inches of the door to be effective — verify this clearance during installation.
