    Installation and operation instructions for the HAI (Home Automation, Inc.) 73A00-4ZB Wireless 5A Load Control Module (LCM) — a Zigbee-enabled relay module for controlling low-voltage circuits such as outdoor A/C units, pool/spa heaters, pool/spa pumps, and generators.

    Overview

    The Model 73A00-4ZB is a wireless Load Control Module that includes a built-in 65A26-1 Zigbee radio module, letting it join a Zigbee network without any hardwired data connection back to the panel. It's designed for indoor or outdoor installation and switches loads rated up to 5A.

    Electrical Ratings

    • Switched Control Circuit (orange/orange wires): 5A @ 240VAC general purpose; 5A @ 28VDC general purpose; 240VA @ 240VAC pilot duty
    • Power Supply (black/white wires): 100–250VAC, 50/60 Hz — connect to an "Always On" circuit
    • Standby Power: 0.35W
    • Active Power: 0.95W

    Installation Notes

    • For best RF performance, mount to a non-metallic surface, or mount with the top of the unit at least 1.5" above any metallic surface.
    • Use appropriate screws (not provided) to mount the unit — do not over-tighten.
    • Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
    • Installation should follow the National Electrical Code and local regulations; a qualified electrician is recommended.

    Enrolling the 73A00-4ZB LCM to a ZigBee Network

    1. Confirm the LCM is not already enrolled (LED blinking 1×/second at 50% on). If it is enrolled, disband it first.
    2. Place the supplied magnet on the LCM near the magnetic sensor and hold for 5+ seconds, until the LED changes to blinking 7 times per second.
    3. Enroll the device using the ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM).
    4. Verify successful enrollment by confirming the LED blinks 1×/second at 10% on (normal operation).

    Disbanding the 73A00-4ZB LCM from a ZigBee Network

    1. Confirm the LCM is currently in a network (any LED state other than blinking 1×/second at 50% on).
    2. Place the magnet on the LCM near the magnetic sensor and hold for 6–8 seconds.
    3. Remove the magnet from the magnetic sensor for 6–8 seconds.
    4. Place the magnet on the LCM again and hold for 6–8 seconds, until the LED changes to blinking 1×/second at 50% on.
    5. The device is now disbanded.

    LED Status Indicator

    Status Rate Description
    OFF 0% On Device is malfunctioning, connected improperly, or has no power.
    ON 100% On Device is in override mode; the load is turned off.
    SHORT BLINK 1/sec, 10% On In network and not in override — operating normally.
    LONG BLINK 1/sec, 50% On Not currently in a network.
    QUICK BLINK 7/sec, 50% On Trying to join a network (sending beacons).
    FAULT 2/sec, 20% On Device is experiencing a fault condition.
