    Installation and operation instructions for the HAI Model 73A00-3ZB Wireless 30A Load Control Module (LCM) — a ZigBee-enabled switching module for controlling water heaters, pool pumps, outdoor fountains, lighting, and more. Includes a 65A26-1 ZigBee module (FCC ID: HHC-65A261).

    Description

    The 73A00-3ZB LCM is a wireless load control module rated for 30A switched control circuits. It communicates over ZigBee to a HAI controller network via a ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM).

    Installation Notes

    • Intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations — a qualified electrician should perform the installation.
    • Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
    • For best RF performance: mount to a non-metallic surface, or mount with the top of the unit at least 1.5 inches above any metallic surface.
    • Use appropriate screws (not provided) to mount the unit — do not over-tighten.
    • Power supply: connect to an "always on" circuit, 100–250VAC, 50/60Hz. Standby power draw: 0.35W; active power draw: 0.95W.

    Electrical Ratings

    • Switched control circuit: 30A @ 240VAC (general purpose), 30A @ 28VDC (general purpose)
    • Motor loads: 2HP @ 240VAC, 1HP @ 120VAC

    ZigBee Setup

    Enrolling the LCM to a ZigBee Network

    1. Confirm the LCM is not currently enrolled in a network (LED blinking 1/second at 50% on). If it is enrolled, disband it first.
    2. Place the supplied magnet on the LCM near the magnetic sensor and hold for 5+ seconds, until the LED changes to blinking 7 times per second.
    3. Enroll the device using the ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM).
    4. Verify enrollment by checking that the LED blinks 1 time/second at 10% on (normal operation).

    Disbanding the LCM from a ZigBee Network

    1. Confirm the LCM is currently in the network (any LED state except blinking 1/second at 50% on).
    2. Place the magnet on the LCM near the magnetic sensor and hold for 6–8 seconds.
    3. Remove the magnet from the sensor for 6–8 seconds.
    4. Place the magnet on the LCM near the sensor again and hold for 6–8 seconds, until the LED changes to blinking 1/second at 50% on.
    5. The device is now disbanded.

    LED Status Indicator

    Status Rate Description
    OFF 0% on Device is malfunctioning, connected improperly, or has no power
    ON 100% on Device is in override mode; the load is turned off
    SHORT BLINK 1/sec, 10% on In network, operating normally (not in override)
    LONG BLINK 1/sec, 50% on Not currently in a network
    QUICK BLINK 7/sec, 50% on Trying to join network (sending beacons)
    FAULT 2/sec, 20% on Device is experiencing a fault condition

    Wiring

    Power connections: BLACK and WHITE wires connect to the 100–250VAC "always on" power supply. Switched control circuit output terminal is ORANGE.
