  • HAI 25A00-1 & 25A00-2 — ALC Interface Module Installation Manual

    September 08, 2026 2 min read

Installation manual for the HAI Model 25A00-1 & 25A00-2 ALC Interface Module, used with OmniLT and Omni II Series controllers to control ALC Switch Modules.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation guide for the HAI Model 25A00-1 & 25A00-2 ALC Interface Module, used with an HAI OmniLT or Omni II Series controller to control lights and appliances connected to ALC Switch Modules.

    Overview

    • Model 25A00-1 ALC Interface Module — controls up to 31 ALC Switch Modules (1 Branch).
    • Model 25A00-2 ALC Interface Module — controls up to 124 ALC Switch Modules (4 Branches).

After installation, the controller's "Module Type" must be configured (see controller Installation Manual).

    Installation on OmniLT

    1. Remove each 6-32 x 1/4 Phillips screw ("A") from the controller. As each is removed, replace with a supplied 6-32 x 3/4 male/female Hex spacer ("C"). Retain the screws for a later step.
    2. Connect the supplied cable to the 20-pin connector J4 on the controller ("B").
    3. Place the ALC Interface on top of the controller, lining up mounting holes ("D") with the Hex spacers ("C").
    4. Reinstall the 4 Phillips screws through the mounting holes ("D") into the Hex spacers ("C") on the controller.
    5. Connect the opposite end of the cable to the 20-pin connector J1 on the ALC Interface ("E").
    6. Verify the address jumper is in the correct position, matching the Expansion "Module Type" configured in the controller ("F").

    Installation on Omni II Series

    1. Remove each 6-32 x 1/4 Phillips screw ("A") from the controller. As each is removed, replace with a supplied 6-32 x 3/4 male/female Hex spacer ("C"). Retain the screws for a later step.
    2. Connect the supplied cable to the 20-pin connector J8 on the controller ("B").
    3. Place the ALC Interface on top of the controller, lining up mounting holes ("D") with the Hex spacers ("C").
    4. Reinstall the 4 Phillips screws through the mounting holes ("D") into the Hex spacers ("C") on the controller.
    5. Connect the opposite end of the cable to the 20-pin connector J1 on the ALC Interface Module ("E").
    6. Verify the address jumper is in the correct position, matching the Expansion "Module Type" configured in the controller ("F").

    ALC Switch Modules

ALC Switch Modules are intended for installation in homes pre-wired for ALC system products. An ALC branch cable (twisted-pair 20–24 gauge, Cat 3 or better) and an uninterrupted 120 VAC source must be present at each location. An ALC Auxiliary Switch cable (3 conductor, 20–24 gauge) may also be present for dedicated multi-way switching applications. Both the ALC branch and Auxiliary Switch cables should be located above and outside each switch box.

For complete installation instructions, refer to the Instruction Sheet (408-4277) packaged with each ALC Switch Module.

    Setting a Switch Address

    • Each ALC Branch may include up to thirty-one (31) individually addressable ALC Switch Modules.
    • Each Switch Module on a given branch must have a unique address — modules on the same branch may NOT share an address.
    • Note: although ALC Modules can be addressed 1–31, when used with an OmniLT the ALC Switch Modules must be addressed between 1–16 and can only be connected to Branch 1.
