Quick start guide for the Global Caché iTach IP series network control interfaces.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Quick start guide for the Global Caché iTach IP series — Ethernet (IP)-connected control interfaces for IR, contact closure, and serial control, including the initial network configuration and factory-reset procedure.

    Getting Started

    1. Apply power to the Ethernet (IP) iTach.
    2. To determine the iTach's IP address, download the Global Caché iHelp application from www.globalcache.com/downloads.
    3. Run iHelp on a Windows PC connected to the same network. iHelp listens for iTach multicast beacons and displays every iTach's MAC ID and IP address within one minute.
    4. Configure your iTach by selecting it from the list and right-clicking "Configure" to display the iTach web pages in your local browser.
    5. Select the iTach Network page. If prompted for a password, select OK if no password was previously entered.
    6. Choose your web page settings and select Apply to permanently store them.

    Factory Reset / Troubleshooting

The setup process may be restarted at any time by resetting the iTach back to factory defaults:

    1. Insert a metal pin (a large paper clip works well) into the reset opening, approximately 1/8 inch (3 mm), until the reset sequence begins.
    2. The reset sequence is indicated by the LEDs on the front of the iTach beginning to blink during initialization.

Caution: Use a light touch when resetting the product — excess force may damage the IR learner. Do not force the metal pin into the opening.
