Quick start guide for the Global Caché Flex Link Relay & Sensor Cable, an iTach Flex accessory that adds configurable relay outputs and sensor inputs.
Quick start guide for the Global Caché Flex Link Relay & Sensor Cable — an accessory cable for the iTach Flex series that adds relay outputs and sensor inputs, configurable through a browser-based interface.
Once the iTach Flex is connected to the network (see the iTach Flex Quick Start guide), plug the Flex Link Relay & Sensor cable into the Flex Link Port.
To configure the Relay & Sensor cable: right-click on the unit's entry in iHelp and select Configure. Alternatively, access the setup pages manually by typing the unit's IP address into a web browser.
To access the Relay & Sensor cable settings, select Flex Link Cable, then Relay/Sensor. The page updates to display the current saved configuration, or default settings if the cable hasn't been configured yet. The webpage provides a basic configuration and control interface to demonstrate and test relay and sensor functionality.
Relay outputs can be configured as various relay types for controlling a wide range of devices. To configure a relay:
Relay outputs can then be controlled using the Current State toggle buttons and pressing Save Changes. Note that relay output states are not automatically updated if changed by a different client — press Refresh to update the displayed current output states.
Sensor inputs can be configured to sense the presence of AC or DC voltage/current, or dry contact closure. Each sensor input uses a pair of pins on the terminal block connectors.
The state of the sensor inputs is shown by the Input States toggle indicators, located just below the Relay outputs section.
