Specification sheet for the GE/Interlogix SafeAir Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarm (TX-6310-01-1) for use with Simon XT security panels.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Specification sheet for the GE / Interlogix SafeAir™ Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarm (TX-6310-01-1) — a wireless CO detector designed for use with Simon XT™ (firmware v1.4+) security panels.

    Overview

The SafeAir Wireless CO alarm reliably alerts residents to dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and sends a CO alarm signal to the Simon XT panel and central monitoring station (CMS). The Simon XT also provides detector supervision — signaling tamper, no-signal, low battery, trouble, and end-of-life conditions. It uses an onboard microprocessor and the industry's most accurate electrochemical CO sensor to track CO levels over time, with a 40% longer service life than earlier designs.

SafeTest™ functional testing (using real canned CO gas) fully meets the functional test requirement in NFPA 720, 2009. Many states now require CO detectors in new construction, and the 2009 International Residential Building Code mandates CO detection in all new and remodeled homes.

    Standard Features

    • SafeTest enables functional testing with canned CO
    • Full compliance and listed to ANSI/UL 2034 standard
    • Industry-leading 7-year sensor life and 5-year battery life with 3 AA alkaline batteries
    • Most reliable and longest life electrochemical sensor
    • Tamper, trouble, low battery, and end-of-life reporting to Simon XT v1.4
    • Integrated wireless transmitter saves labor and installation time
    • Wall tamper switch reduces liability if removed
    • Battery-only-powered — operates during power outages
    • Hush feature for alarm, trouble, and battery conditions reduces customer frustration
    • Self-diagnostics functionality for optimal performance
