Instruction manual for GE/Jasco Enbrighten Seasons LED Color Changing Landscape Lights (JA413xx series).

    Full text manual (for reference)

Instruction manual for GE/Jasco Enbrighten Seasons LED Color Changing Landscape Lights (model family JA413xx), covering best practices for installation, remote control operation, and pairing.

    Best Practices for Installation

    • Install the power supply/receiver a minimum of 18" above the ground to ensure optimal remote control range.
    • Placing the power supply/receiver directly on the ground can severely diminish remote control range.
    • Do not mount the power supply/receiver behind large objects (posts, walls, boulders) or near metal walls/large metal objects — this can reduce remote range.
    • Do not pull cords tight — leave slack to avoid straining electrical connections.
    • Longest remote operating distances are achieved with a clear line of sight to the power supply/receiver; operating indoors reduces range.

    Initial Setup

    1. Unpack the lights, removing wire ties and the plastic bag (dispose per warnings below).
    2. Install 2 AAA batteries (included) in the remote control.
    3. When installing outside, use a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) receptacle. Before installing, plug the lights into the GFCI receptacle to confirm they all work properly.

Important: Unplug the landscape lights prior to installation.

    Installing the Lights

    Ground Installation

    1. Plan the layout: the first light can be up to 20' from the controller; each subsequent light up to 2' from the previous one.
    2. Mount the controller using the rear keyholes or ear tabs, at least 18" off the ground. Do not lay the controller on the ground or where standing water may accumulate — this significantly reduces remote range.
    3. Ground mount: place the light directly on the ground or garden bedding, and use the included stake (one per light) — insert with the arrow pointing toward the light's center, then push into soil or mulch. Loosen soil first if the stake meets excessive resistance.

    Flat-Surface Mounting

Mount only to solid support structures (joists, beams, studs) using one #6 pan head screw (not included) of appropriate length.

    Cord Management

The lights feature burial-grade cable, which can be directly buried in soil or covered with garden bedding to conceal excess cable.

    Using the Remote

Press the red ON/OFF button at the top of the remote to power the lights (pre-paired from the factory). Keep the remote indoors when not in use — it is not waterproof.

    • Single-Color Selection: Press a color on the color pad to set all lights to that color. Press the dimming button for 10 light levels (single/dual-color only).
    • Dual-Color Selection: Press Color 1, then choose a color for every other light (starting with the first); press Color 2, then choose a color for the remaining lights; press dimming to set brightness.
    • Tunable White: Press the white button to cycle through 2200K, 2700K, and 5000K.
    • Strobe: Lights strobe through all colors in a random pattern.
    • Fade: Lights fade in and out through all colors in a random pattern.
    • Modes: Press the modes button repeatedly to cycle Twinkle, Multi-Fade, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Red/White/Blue, Fall, Spring, Multi-Colors.
    • Timer: 2-hour or 4-hour countdown buttons to auto-shutoff.

The lights remember their last customized settings and mode/color scheme after power cycling.

Pairing the Remote with Additional Lights

    1. To pair: power the lights, and within 8 seconds press and hold the ON/OFF button. Lights turn white, blink once, and stay white — now paired. (A remote can pair with unlimited Enbrighten Seasons Lights sets, and multiple strings can be paired simultaneously.)
    2. Lights can be paired with up to 8 remotes.
    3. To unpair: power the lights, and within 8 seconds press and hold the yellow button (bottom-left). Lights turn white, blink twice, and stay white — now unpaired.

    Safety Warnings

    • Ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection is required on the circuit(s)/outlet(s) used for the wet-location portable luminaire.
    • Keep packaging bags away from babies and children — the thin film may cling to nose/mouth and prevent breathing.
    • Do not submerge; do not use around aquariums; keep lamps at least 16 feet from pools and spas.
    • Keep plugs and receptacles dry; avoid cord/lamp damage during installation; inspect periodically for damage from outdoor exposure.
    • Not intended for installation in ceilings, soffits, cabinets, attics, or other enclosed spaces.
    • Ensure lights are unplugged from power during installation; children should not play with landscape lights.
    • UL recommends testing GFCI circuits/receptacles monthly.
