User manual for the Enbrighten Smart LED Wi-Fi Flex Light (Models 58085, 58087, 58088) — a color-changing, app-controlled outdoor LED light strand for ground, stake, or clip mounting.

Overview

The Enbrighten LED Wi-Fi Flex Light transforms your space with vibrant colors and dynamic customization, all controlled via the free Enbrighten Wi-Fi app. It requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. For best results, pair your lights near your router prior to installation.

Setup and Installation

1. Download the app — Scan the QR code on the packaging, or search "Enbrighten" on the Apple App Store or Google Play
2. Create an account in the Enbrighten app
3. Plug the flex light into a GFCI-protected outlet
4. Add devices — control the smart flex lights from anywhere and create schedules

Voice Control

Compatible with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled devices. Select "Support" in the Enbrighten app, or follow the steps in the Amazon Alexa or Google Home app to connect your Enbrighten account.

Manual Operation

Press the button on the power supply to cycle through the following color settings:

1. White, 100% brightness
2. White, 50% brightness
3. White, 25% brightness
4. Color fade
5. Red
6. Green
7. Blue
8. Yellow
9. Purple
10. Pink
11. Orange
12. Teal
13. Holiday
14. July 4th
15. Rainbow

Installation Options

Ground Mounting

Place the strand directly onto the ground or garden bedding.

Stake Mounting

1. Insert the top of a stake into a clip's keyhole slot, sliding it forward until it clicks into place
2. Carefully thread the flex light through each clip
3. Firmly plant the stakes into soil or garden bedding — if it requires more than a firm push, loosen the soil or remove debris

Clip Mounting

Select a clean, sturdy location within reach of an outlet — the maximum distance to the receptacle is determined by the length of cord provided.

1. Mark clip locations with a pencil, leaving about 1.5 ft. of space between each
2. Drill pilot holes at each marking using a 1/16 in. drill bit
3. Insert the included screws into the pilot holes with a Phillips-head screwdriver, leaving about 1/8 in. remaining space
4. Place the clips over the screws, tightening as needed
5. Carefully thread the flex light through the installed clips

Power Supply

The power supply features a push button that serves as both a means of pairing with the app and manual operation. Mount it using the keyholes on the back or the tabs on the side.

Important: Do not lay the power supply on the ground or where water may accumulate. Do not pull the cord tight — leave slack in the loop to prevent strain on the power supply.

After installing, plug the power cord into a 120VAC, 60Hz outlet.

Safety Instructions

WARNING — Risk of Electric Shock

• Outlets used for powering flex lights shall comply with all national and local electrical codes
• For use only on GFCI-protected circuits
• Do not submerge; do not use around aquariums
• Flex lights are a wet-location product with no serviceable parts
• Do not use with an extension cord near water or where water may accumulate
• Keep lamps at least 16 ft. from pools and spas
• Keep plugs and receptacles dry
• Avoid damaging cords and lamp assemblies during installation; periodically inspect for physical or weather damage
• Replace any damaged flex lights
• Do not install where flex lights can be stepped on
• Ensure flex lights are unplugged from power during installation
• Children should not be allowed to play with flex lights
• Not suitable for field cutting or splicing
• UL recommends testing GFCI circuits and receptacles every month to ensure proper operation
• Do not mount or support the flexible light in a manner that can damage the outer jacket or cord insulation
• Material may become brittle when cold — do not install where it may be stepped on or subject to physical damage

WARNING — Risk of Fire

• Not intended for installation in ceilings, soffits, cabinets, attics, or other enclosed spaces
• Do not install near flammable liquids
• Do not cover the flexible light, as this may cause it to overheat and melt or ignite
• To prevent overheating, maintain at least 12mm (0.47 in.) spacing between light cable or light cable parts
• Uncoil the flexible light prior to plugging in

This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce risk of electric shock. If the plug doesn't fit fully in the outlet, reverse it; if it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted, and never alter the plug.

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection must be provided on the circuit(s)/outlet(s) used for this wet-location portable luminaire. Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords with three-prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles, of cord type SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, STOOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.

To prevent failure, do not bend more than 4.72 in. bending diameter.
