    Operation

The WST-612 detects water across its gold probes and alerts immediately when moisture is present. The freeze sensor triggers when the temperature drops below 41°F (5°C) and sends a restoral signal once it rises back to 45°F (7°C).

    Enrolling the Sensor

Put your alarm panel into sensor learn mode (refer to your panel's own instructions for the exact menu). Locate the vertical line on the side of the WST-612 — you'll need a magnet (not included) to trigger a transmission from that point.

    1. To learn in as a flood sensor: tap a magnet briefly to the line on the sensor. Repeat if needed. The flood sensor learns in as Loop 1.
    2. To learn in the freeze sensor: tap and hold a magnet at the same point until the LED lights up (about 2 seconds). Repeat if needed. The freeze sensor learns in as Loop 2.

Alternatively, manually enter the 7-digit serial number printed on the back of the unit into the panel. For 2GIG systems, the equipment code is 0637.

    Placement

Place the sensor anywhere you want to detect flooding or freezing — under a sink, near a water heater, in a basement, or behind a washing machine. To keep the unit from shifting out of position, use the provided sensor bracket to secure it to the floor or wall.

    Testing the Unit

    • Place a magnet on the side line and remove it within 1 second to send a Flood transmission (Loop 1).
    • Hold the magnet in place for 2 seconds to send a Freeze transmission (Loop 2).
    • Touching wet fingers to any two probes will also trigger a flood transmission.

    Replacing the Battery

A low-battery signal is sent to the control panel automatically. To replace:

    1. Carefully remove the white rubber feet on the bottom of the unit.
    2. Remove the 3 screws and open the case. Replace the battery with a Panasonic CR2450 Lithium Battery.
    3. Replace the screws and rubber feet.

    Compliance

This equipment complies with FCC Class B digital device limits (Part 15) and Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standards. If interference occurs, try reorienting/relocating the receiving antenna, increasing separation between the equipment and receiver, or connecting to a different circuit. Unauthorized modifications may void the user's authority to operate this equipment.

    Warranty

Ecolink warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from date of purchase. Excludes damage from shipping/handling, accident, abuse, misuse, ordinary wear, improper maintenance, failure to follow instructions, or unauthorized modification. Remedy is repair or replacement at Ecolink's option, and applies only to the original buyer. Maximum liability is limited to replacement of the defective product.
