Ecolink WST-302 — Wireless Shock + Contact Sensor Installation Instructions

The Ecolink WST-302 Wireless Shock + Contact combines an electro-mechanical shock sensor with a built-in door/window reed switch contact and an external contact input — three sensors in one wireless device, compatible with Honeywell and 2GIG alarm receivers.

Three Sensors, Three Loops

Each of the device's three triggers uses a unique loop number when enrolling:

• Loop 1 — Shock sensor (tap the device to trigger during enrollment)
• Loop 2 — Built-in door/window contact (move the included magnet in/out of range of the reed switch to trigger)
• Loop 3 — External contact input (close the circuit between the two terminal inputs — with a wire, or a hardwired contact/magnet — to trigger)

Enrolling the Sensor

Set your alarm panel into program mode (refer to your panel's manual for the specific menu). When prompted by the panel, trigger each loop as described above. The device sends a supervisory transmission every hour for each enrolled input, and a case tamper signal to each programmed zone if the case is opened.

Shock Sensitivity Adjustment

Turn the white potentiometer clockwise to increase shock sensitivity (less force required to trigger), or counter-clockwise to decrease sensitivity (more force required).

Mounting

• Double-sided tape is included for both the contact and the magnet. Clean and dry the surface before applying tape; press firmly for several seconds.
• Not recommended to apply tape below 50°F, though after 24 hours the bond holds at low temperatures.
• One side of the sensor is marked with 2 lines indicating the reed switch location — mount the magnet facing that side, no further than 1 inch away.

Replacing the Battery

1. A low-battery signal is sent to the control panel for all programmed zones when replacement is needed.
2. Remove the top cover to reveal the battery.
3. Replace with a CR123A battery, ensuring the + side faces as indicated on the device.
4. Reattach the cover — you should hear a click when it engages properly.
