    Enrolling

Put your alarm panel into program mode and go to the Learn Sensors menu (refer to your specific panel's manual for the exact menu path). To activate the case tamper, slide the cover up and down — you'll hear a click as the case latches engage and disengage. Continue until the panel responds, then select the appropriate sensor group and number.

    Mounting

    • Double-sided tape is included for both the contact and the magnet. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry, apply the tape, then press firmly for several seconds.
    • Avoid mounting the tape at temperatures below 50°F — though the bond will hold at low temperatures after a 24-hour cure.
    • One side of the sensor is marked with 3 lines, indicating the location of the reed switch. Mount the magnet facing this side, no further than 5/8" from the sensor.

    Interchangeable Covers

The contact ships assembled with a white cover; brown covers are included as an option. To swap covers, slide the front cover to disengage it from the sensor, then remove it. When installing the replacement, make sure the "Top" marking on the inside of the cover points away from the battery — you should hear a click when it engages. The back plastic does not need to be swapped since it's hidden once mounted. To swap the magnet cover, gently pry the white cover off with a flat-head screwdriver and snap the brown cover into place.

    Replacing the Battery

A low-battery signal is sent to the control panel when the battery needs replacing.

    1. Slide the top cover to disengage it from the sensor, then remove it to reveal the battery.
    2. Replace with a CR2032 battery, ensuring the + side faces towards you.
    3. Reattach the cover with the "Top" marking pointing away from the battery — you should hear it click into place.

Note: Removing the cover triggers a zone tamper signal to the control panel.
