Overview

The 45-0021 recessed low voltage cable plate with recessed power lets installers route both power and low-voltage cables behind a flat panel TV, amplifier, or other audio/video device, keeping cabling hidden and the wall clean. It can be installed upright or upside down.

Installation

Use either a single-gang retrofit work box (as shown in typical product photos) or, for new construction, a new-work nail-on box. After wiring the receptacle (a UR/UL recognized component), insert the receptacle portion of the plate into the work box. Once the recessed plate sits flush with the wall, secure it using the two supplied white screws, then tighten the winged screws — these wings fasten tightly against the back of the drywall. Plug in the necessary video and audio cables, then install the flat panel TV mounting bracket per the bracket manufacturer's instructions.
