    Installation instructions for the Chief® NAFT85 rack fan thermostat control — an automatic temperature-triggered fan controller for AV equipment racks that powers connected fan units on/off based on internal rack temperature.

    Overview

    The NAFT85 thermostat control automatically powers connected fan unit(s) when the rack reaches 85°F, and turns the fan(s) off once the temperature drops to 75°F. It is designed for use with Chief rack fan panels and mounts inside the equipment rack.

    Parts Included

    Installation

    1. Plug the fan cord(s) (B) into the thermostat (A), following the label located on the thermostat.
    2. Plug the fan cord(s) into the back of the fan panel(s).
    3. Plug the power supply cord into the opposite end of the thermostat (A).
    4. Optional: Fasten the thermostat at any location within the rack using the four 10-32 x 3/4" header point Phillips screws (D).
    5. Optional: Alternatively, fasten the thermostat using the included Velcro square (C).
    6. Plug the power supply into an available outlet.
    7. Complete the installation following the rack installation instructions provided with the specific rack.
