Channel Vision TE110DS — Door Strike Relay Instructions

Instruction manual for the Channel Vision TE110DS Door Strike Relay — an accessory relay module for the TE110 telephone entry/intercom system.

Overview

The TE110DS is a relay contact that can be activated by the TE110 intercom (sold separately) when a homeowner dials the appropriate touch-tone code from any house telephone. It's wired between the door strike mechanism, a door strike power supply (neither sold by Channel Vision), and the TE110.

Basic Operation

• To close the door strike relay while already communicating with the door speaker, press #7 (or *7).
• To close the door strike relay without communicating with the door speaker, press ## (or **) and then press #7 (or *7).

Strike Duration Setting

The duration of the contact closure is programmed using DIP switches (S1-S6) on the TE110 (sold separately), and is variable between 3 and 240 seconds:

Wiring Diagram Summary

House telephones connect through the telephone service provider line into the TE110 (power/line/tel inputs), which links to the house intercom. The TE110DS relay sits between the TE110 and the door strike power supply/mechanism, closing the circuit for the programmed duration when the appropriate code is dialed.
