Installation manual for the Channel Vision ST-3078W (7") and ST-3108W (10") touch screen intercom room stations.
Installation manual for the Channel Vision ST-3078W (7") and ST-3108W (10") touch screen intercom room stations — Android-based smart home and SIP intercom touchscreens.
The ST-3078W and ST-3108W are Android-based touch screen intercom/room stations available in 7" and 10" display sizes. They support a home screen with Call, Monitor, Records, Room, VOIP, and Settings apps, along with third-party Android app installation and a built-in web browser.
Both models share the same layout of controls: power button, built-in speaker, front camera, microSD card slot, USB port, and microphone. The 10" model (ST-3108W) uses the larger display footprint but shares the same feature set and setup process as the 7" model.
ipconfig from a Command Prompt to identify your network's IP range, or use the Channel Vision CVI Upgrade Tool to discover the device's IP and MAC address automatically. Two setup approaches, both configured via the web admin "Room No Settings" page:
The Room No Settings page must have its Build, Unit, Floor, Room, and Device fields matched against the corresponding entry (comparing settings between the room station and any linked device such as an SI-8000) for the intercom system to function correctly.
From the home screen, tap the Contacts icon to view and add intercom contacts. Contacts can be created manually, imported, or added via sign-in. Each contact entry includes a name (e.g., "Kitchen") and an extension/device number for direct calling between room stations.
Configure SIP calling under VOIP settings in the web admin interface, with fields for: Proxy, Realm, Outbound Proxy, STUN IP/Port, User, Password, and Timeout. Once configured correctly, the room station's Main status screen will display a "SIP OK" confirmation.
The Advanced Settings menu maps physical keypad functions to features including Ex Phone (external phone forwarding), Auto Pickup, Quick Call, and DTMF Unlock (door strike release via touch-tone code).
The built-in Webkit browser settings page includes fields for Advertising, Browser defaults, Mail, GOV, Cook(ie), and MAP handling — useful when configuring the room station's browser for guided/limited web access.
From the Apps menu, the built-in Browser can be used to download and sideload standard Android APK files (e.g., from apkpure.com). Because these are unsigned/unknown-source APKs, Android will show a security warning during download and installation — enable "Unknown sources" under Settings > Security to proceed, then confirm the install prompt. Once installed, the new app's icon appears in the Applications menu, matching a normal Android app-install flow.
Press and hold any home screen icon for about 2 seconds to bring up icon options, including replacing it with a different app icon (e.g., swapping in a Music icon) or restoring the default icon set via the Clear function.
Refer to the final page of the printed manual for Channel Vision's standard limited warranty terms and FCC/regulatory compliance statements applicable to this product.
