    Assembly

This intercom consists of two sub-assemblies that must be attached before final installation: the electronic "Companion Board" and the mechanical "Door Plate."

Attaching the Companion Board (standard / IU-xxxx, IU-xxxxP)

    1. Remove the plastic cap covering the microphone compartment on the door plate.
    2. Place the microphone in the compartment and replace the plastic cap over it — the cap forms a friction fit over the microphone wires, holding them snug until they exit at the base.
    3. Remove the mounting screws already attached to the bracket and use them to attach the companion board to the front side of the bracket (screws pass through the companion board before threading into the bracket).
    4. Attach the button and speaker wires as shown in the diagram.

Attaching the Companion Board (IU-xxxxC / CAT5 Intercom variant)

    1. Position the companion board onto the three mounting tabs. The microphone (attached to the back side of the companion board) should line up with the microphone tube on the bracket.
    2. Bend the mounting tabs to secure the companion board.
    3. Connect the speaker and button wires by sliding the small connector over the exposed pins on the companion board.
    4. Note: use D1 for Door 1 chime sound, D2 for Door 2 chime sound.

    Attaching the Camera (IU-6xxx / IU-6xxxP / IU-6xxxC models)

    1. Break away the perforated metal screen covering the camera opening by pushing a screwdriver through the slot on the front of the door plate (press near the top or bottom until the tabs holding it break free).
    2. Attach the camera to the mount so the lens points through the opening.
    3. Adjust the camera position and secure it by tightening the screw on the mount.
    4. Attach the pigtail to the rear of the camera, then connect to power supply and video distribution system.
