Overview

The G-IRBW, J-IRBA, and J-IRBI wall plate inserts allow IR receivers and emitters to be easily and neatly connected to a standard wall plate. Each insert provides a 3.5mm female jack on the front side and a 3-position screw terminal on the back — no soldering required.

Wiring

The insert's 3-position screw terminal maps to the 3.5mm jack's Ring, Collar, and Tip contacts as follows, depending on the application:

Typical Application

The G-IRBW insert can be used to provide either an IR emitter output (e.g. feeding a CD player or other IR-controlled component) or an IR receiver input (routing signal back to a controller such as a Global Cache model), all through a clean wall-plate connection point.
