Installation instructions for Channel Vision DP-Series solid brass door intercom plates, covering model numbering, camera options, and Panasonic/CAT5 wiring.
Installation instructions for Channel Vision's DP-Series Telephone Entry Door Intercom — 1/4" solid brass door plates that interface with telephone entry controllers to provide communication with the front door.
DP-Series plates are available in a variety of configurations, including options for a hidden camera and compatibility with Panasonic's KSU phone systems. Each plate ships with a DP-9001 or DP-9002 surface mount box (depending on finish color); the DP-Rbox-II flush mount box is compatible but sold separately.
Example: DP-0212C

Double check you've purchased the correct model number for your system type before installing.
Remove the plastic cap over the microphone compartment, place the microphone inside, and replace the cap (it friction-fits over the wires). Attach the companion board to the front side of the bracket using the pre-attached mounting screws, so the screws pass through the board before threading into the bracket.
Break away the perforated metal screen over the camera opening by pushing a screwdriver through the front slot near the top or bottom until the tabs release. Attach the camera to the mount so the lens cone points through the opening, adjust position, and secure with the mount screw.
Position the companion board onto the three mounting tabs so the back-mounted microphone aligns with the bracket's microphone tube. Bend the mounting tabs to secure the board, then connect speaker and button wires via the small connector over the exposed pins.
| Setting | Function |
|---|---|
| D1 | Door 1 |
| D2 | Door 2 |
| (No Jumper) | Patio Mode |
Patio Mode: If a station configured as Door 1 or Door 2 rings, pressing the button on a Patio-mode station answers that call (press again to hang up, or hold 3 seconds to activate the ST-C5IDS Door Strike Relay). If neither door has rung in the last 20 seconds, pressing Patio mode pages the house stations (press again to end the page).
Interfaces with Channel Vision telephone entry controllers: TE110, C-0920, P-0920, P-0921, providing audio and video communication. Install a compatible mounting box, connect the Telephone Entry Controller with 2-conductor wire to the DP's terminal block, run the camera's video output to a coax extension if needed, and splice power supply extensions with crimp-on connectors if needed.
A compatible replacement for the Panasonic KXT30865, interfacing with Panasonic KSU phone systems. Model DP-6xxxP includes a color camera, DP-5xxxP includes B&W, DP-0xxxP includes none. Connect the door phone output of the Panasonic KSU to the DP's terminal block; consult your Panasonic manual for door phone operation details.
Connects to Channel Vision's CAT5 Whole-House Intercom system (P-0930 hub, ST-2000 stations). Pressing the DP-xxxxC button triggers a door chime on ST-2000 stations; pressing Answer/End opens two-way communication. Use CAT5 wire to connect the P-0930 to the DP's 110 connector; max CAT5 run 500 ft.
