Instruction manual for the Channel Vision B-204 IP Camera Over Coax Converter Kit, for upgrading analog cameras to IP over existing coax cabling.
Instruction manual for the Channel Vision B-204 IP Camera Over Coax Converter Kit, which lets you upgrade analog security cameras to IP cameras using existing coax cabling.
The B-204 IP Camera Over Coax Converter Kit is a perfect solution for updating analog-based security cameras to IP-based cameras by using the original coax cabling infrastructure. The B-204 enables transmission of an IP camera signal over 300 ft. of RG-59/6 video-grade coax cable and supports up to 10Mbps of bandwidth. It's a passive device with no additional power requirements — by reusing the existing coax and power cables, the B-204 creates a more scalable, manageable solution without the need to run new wire.
The B-204 connects to any standard network router or switch and supports IP cameras, including Channel Vision's 2 megapixel HD dome (6521), bullet (6522), and flush mount (6524) IP cameras, as well as its 1.3 megapixel indoor dome (6530).
The kit's transmitter and receiver connect the IP camera to your network switch/router over up to 300 ft. of RG-59/6 coax cable:
Typical setup: an IP camera (e.g., the Channel Vision 6521) connects via coax through the B-204 balun pair, up to 300 ft., to any standard network router or switch.
