User manual for the Chamberlain Smart Lamp Control (models PILCEV, PILCEV-P1, PILCEVC, PILCEVC-P1) — a plug-in lamp module controllable via smartphone, remote control, or a synced garage door opener.

Overview

The Smart Lamp Control offers a convenient way to control lights in your home. It can be programmed and controlled from anywhere with the Chamberlain MyQ® App, or with up to 8 Security+ 2.0® remote controls, or a combination of up to 8 MyQ®-enabled garage door openers. Not recommended for controlling household appliances or fans, and not for use with 3-way or 4-way switch combinations.

For indoor use only — risk of serious injury or death from electrocution or fire if used outdoors.

Modes of Operation

• Smartphone operation: activate the Smart Lamp Control and set schedules to switch lights on/off at custom times, from your smartphone or tablet.
• Remote control operation: activate the Smart Lamp Control from a paired Security+ 2.0® remote control.
• Garage door opener operation: synchronize the Smart Lamp Control with your garage door opener's lights (e.g. if the opener's lights auto-off after 4½ minutes, the Smart Lamp Control will too).

Installation & Programming

1. Plug the lamp into the Smart Lamp Control, then plug the Smart Lamp Control into an electrical outlet (its LED will flash). Make sure the lamp itself is switched ON.
2. If the lamp is not ON, press and release the Power button on the Smart Lamp Control to turn it on.
3. Press and release the Learn button on the Smart Lamp Control (its LED will light).
4. Then either:
   • Download the Chamberlain MyQ® App, create/sign in to your account, and follow the in-app instructions to add the Smart Lamp Control; or
   • Press the button on the remote control; or
   • Press the Learn button on the garage door opener.
5. The lamp's bulb will blink, and the Smart Lamp Control's LED will turn OFF once programming is complete.

Smartphone control requires a MyQ® Garage, Smart Garage Hub, MyQ® Internet Gateway, or Wi-Fi® Garage Door Opener.

Erasing All Programming

Press and hold the Learn button on the Smart Lamp Control for 6 seconds. All programming is erased.

Warranty

The Chamberlain Group, Inc. warrants this product to the first consumer purchaser to be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Regulatory

Complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules and IC RSS-210. Adjustments or modifications to the transceiver are prohibited to comply with FCC/Industry Canada rules; there are no user-serviceable parts.
