    Installation guide for the Chamberlain myQ® Smart Garage Camera (MYQ-SGC1WCH) — a Wi-Fi-connected indoor camera that lets you check on your garage from anywhere using the myQ® App.

    What's in the Box

    • Smart Garage Camera™ (with reset button, camera lens, ambient light sensor, microphone, and USB input)
    • Micro-USB cable (10 ft / 3m)
    • Power adapter
    • Magnetic mounting base with mounting screws and drywall anchors

    Before You Start

    1. Confirm your mobile device's Wi-Fi® is on and shows a strong signal where the camera will sit.
    2. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
    3. Enable Location Services on your mobile device.
    4. Download the myQ® App (or confirm you have the latest version).
    5. Create or sign in to your myQ® account.
    6. Add your Smart Garage Camera™ to your myQ® account.

    Preparation — Check Your View Before Mounting

    • Power up the camera in your chosen mounting area first.
    • Confirm it's within reach of the included 10' Micro-USB cable and a power outlet.
    • Hold the camera at the chosen location, free of visual and metal obstructions — confirm your mobile device's view shows what you want to see before permanently mounting.
    • If using the magnetic mounting base screws for a surface mount, mark the surface first, then power off the camera (unplug it) to begin the surface mount.

    Mounting Options (Indoor Use Only)

    Option A — Magnetically Set on the Garage Door Opener

    1. Place the camera's magnetic mounting base on the garage door opener, lens facing the direction you want to view.
    2. Wrap the cable around the mounting base.

    Option B — Surface Mount

    1. Remove the magnetic mounting base from the camera.
    2. Position the magnetic mounting base at the desired installation surface.
    3. Insert the provided screws with drywall anchors as needed.
    4. Reassemble the camera onto the magnetic mounting base.
    5. Position the camera with the lens facing what you want to see.

    Tools you may need: ladder, Phillips screwdriver, drill and drill bit, hammer.

    Connecting Power

    1. Power the camera with the included micro-USB power adapter and cable. The LED lights solid white. After about 40 seconds, the LED flashes blue, then blue-green, then turns solid green — you're now connected.
    2. From the myQ® App, tap your camera and the live video will display.
    3. Adjust the camera by twisting the posable camera head to change the viewing angle.

    Flashing Blue Ready to be set up in the myQ® App
    Solid Blue Connected to your mobile device, but not yet connected to the Internet (check your router if this persists)
    Flashing Blue and Green Connecting to Wi-Fi and the myQ® App
    Flashing Green Connected to the router, but no internet
    Solid Green Fully connected to the myQ® App
    Flashing Purple Receiving firmware updates
