    September 08, 2026 2 min read

Specification sheet for the BRK ZCOMBO-G, a photoelectric smoke and CO combination alarm with Z-Wave wireless interconnect.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Specification sheet for the BRK ZCOMBO-G (model ZCOMBO), a single-station combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with Z-Wave wireless interconnect, designed for residential and institutional applications including sleeping rooms of hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories, and other multifamily dwellings.

    Overview

The ZCOMBO-G features a fully insect-screened photoelectric smoke sensing chamber and an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, an 85dB horn, a supervised 3V (2 AA battery) power supply, a full-function test switch, and a silence feature. It communicates with any Z-Wave wireless hub using the basic command class required by all Z-Wave devices, and supports one association group with up to 1 node for sending alarms.

Note: This alarm will not connect to Onelink or BRK Wireless Interconnect alarms — it requires a Z-Wave hub (not included).

    Key Features

    • Photoelectric smoke sensing — generally more sensitive to large particles produced by smoldering fires
    • Z-Wave wireless interconnect — communicates with any Z-Wave technology hub
    • Silence feature — silences nuisance alarms
    • Tamper resistant — locking pins lock the alarm to the mounting bracket and battery drawer, preventing removal
    • Electrochemical CO sensor calibrated not to alarm below 30 PPM sustained for 30 days
    • "End of Life" signal, temporarily silenceable for up to 2 days
