    Complete user manual for the Bellman & Symfon Visit Baby Cry Transmitter (BE1491) — a wireless baby monitor that transmits a radio signal to a Bellman Visit receiver whenever it detects your baby's cry (via microphone) or a signal from the optional BE9024 contact mat.

    Safety Warnings

    • Always keep the baby monitor out of the child's reach.
    • Never place the baby monitor in the child's crib or playpen.

    Setting Up

    1. Remove the battery pull tab to start the unit (or press and hold both test buttons for 3 seconds to turn on/off).
    2. Place the baby monitor on a bedside table, or mount it on the wall using the supplied screw and plug. Recommended distance is 0.5–2 m from the crib, always out of the child's reach.

    Testing the Connection

    Using the test button: Press both test buttons on the baby monitor simultaneously. The top LED lights green to confirm a radio signal was transmitted, and the orange Visit LED on the receiver lights up (and sounds/flashes/vibrates) to confirm it was received.

    Using your voice: Make noise near the baby monitor — the top LED lights green when sound is detected, and the receiver's orange Visit LED confirms reception.

    Adjusting Sensitivity & Delay

    Buttons for sensitivity and delay are on the left side of the unit. Press the button to see the current setting (shown by LED color), then press repeatedly to cycle through settings.

    • Monitor not activating when baby cries → increase sensitivity.
    • Monitor activating too easily → reduce sensitivity.
    • Monitor activating too early/late → adjust delay.

    Changing the Signal Pattern

    If you have more than one baby monitor, you can assign a unique Visit LED signal pattern to each so you know which one triggered. Open the front cover and move the desired signal switch to the "on" (up) position, making sure all other switches are "off" (down).

    Changing the Radio Key

    If your system triggers for no apparent reason, a nearby Visit system may be interfering. Change the radio key on ALL your units (switches under the monitor cover) so they operate as a matched group:

    1. Remove the table stand and open the front cover on the baby monitor. Move the radio key switch to "on" to change the key.
    2. Press and hold the test/function button on the receiver until the green and yellow Visit LEDs blink alternately, then release.
    3. Press both test buttons simultaneously on the baby monitor within 30 seconds to send the new radio key.
    4. All Visit LEDs on the receiver blink 5 times to confirm the radio key was changed.

    Note: All Visit units must be set to the same radio key to operate together as a group.

    Troubleshooting

    Symptom Try This
    LEDs blink orange every minute Replace batteries. Use only 1.5V AA (LR6) lithium or alkaline batteries.
    Monitor LED lights green, but receiver is not activated Check batteries/connections on both units. Move receiver closer. Confirm both units share the same radio key.
    Monitor LED doesn't light even though the baby is crying Move the monitor closer to the baby or increase microphone sensitivity.
    Monitor activates too easily Reduce sensitivity or move the monitor further from the crib.
    Monitor activates too early Increase the delay setting.
    Monitor activates too late Reduce the delay setting.
    Receiver activates for no apparent reason Another nearby Visit system is likely triggering yours — change the radio key on all units.
