Instructions for programming Smart Tags and K9 Tags to the RFID Sensor Box on an AutoSlide automatic door system.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Instructions for programming Smart Tags (and K9 Tags) to the RFID Sensor Box on an Autoslide automatic pet/sliding door system.

    Before You Start

If you haven't already, program Pet Mode for a set "pet width." Do this by flipping dip switch 3 on and off. When the door opens and reaches the desired position, brace the door in place until it changes direction — the door does not need to be braced again after that.

Programming Tags to the RFID Sensor Box

    1. Unscrew the silver screw at the top of the Sensor Box and remove the casing. Plug the RFID Sensor Box into the Pet Sensor port (second port from the bottom) on the unit motherboard using the provided cables. (The box can be plugged in from the back or the bottom — using the bottom port requires cutting a hole in the RFID casing for the cable.)
    2. To enter programming mode, use a small object to hold down the inset gold button inside the Sensor Box (accessible through the front hole). The LED changes to purple — you can now press all tags you wish to program.
      • Smart Tags: press the button on each tag you want to program.
      • K9 Tags: use a small object to press the button inside each K9 tag.
      • Both types together: press Smart Tag buttons and use a small object for K9 Tag buttons, all during the same programming session.
    3. Test each tag individually: approach the sensor box with the tag in hand. The sensor box should flash red and the door should open to the set Pet Width.

Capacity note: Each RFID Sensor Box holds a maximum of 4 tags at once. Sensor boxes purchased before early 2019 reliably support only up to 3 tags.

Resetting the Sensor Box (if a tag won't pair)

    1. Hold down the small gold button in the sensor box for a few seconds until the light turns purple.
    2. Release the button for one second.
    3. Hold the button down again for 8 seconds until the light turns blue.
    4. Try pairing all desired tags again.

    Programming Detection Distance

Press and hold the tag's button, then release based on the number of flashes: release after one flash for 3 ft. range, two flashes for 6 ft. range, or three flashes for 10 ft. range.

    Adding or Removing a Tag

Go through the programming process again and press all tags you want active on the system (previously-paired tags not re-pressed will be dropped). Remember the system reliably supports only up to 3 tags in practice.

    Battery Notes

Each tag uses one CR2032 battery (life depends on usage). A 1/16" screwdriver is recommended for battery replacement.
