The Wi-Fi thermostat line pairs an intuitive smartphone app with SmartIAQ — the ability to balance Temperature, Humidity, Air Purity, and Fresh Air from a single interface.

    Note: Humidity/Fresh Air on 8820 controls either humidity or fresh air ventilation via a single relay. The app on all models automatically removes functionality if a feature is not physically installed/wired to the thermostat.

    Free Custom Imprinting

    Aprilaire offers free imprinting of an HVAC contractor's logo on all battery covers (1.75" x 0.625" imprint area) to keep the installer's business top of mind — available on all models except the 8840 (contractor info instead shows on-screen).

    Connection Security

    All communication between the customer's device and thermostat uses industry-standard TLS 256-bit encryption. Personal data is stored only on Aprilaire's Amazon Web Services (AWS) database servers, encrypted using password salting and hashing (BCrypt algorithm). Aprilaire does not share personal data with third parties.

    Setup Process

    1. Download the Aprilaire Wi-Fi Thermostat App.
    2. Register a user account.
    3. Connect the Wi-Fi thermostat to the home network.
