Quick Start Guide for ABB-free@home™ — a home automation and door communication system configured via a System Access Point (ABSAPS3US) and companion app.
ABB-free@home combines home automation and door communication into a single system that's easy to understand and operate. Initial configuration by the electrician is carried out via an app. The system includes a System Access Point, thermostat, in-wall devices, and free@home wireless devices, connected via WLAN or a free@home signal to a tablet or smartphone.
Note: Devices must be installed and connected before beginning the programming process below.
The System Access Point has: DC power supply input, USB ports, LAN connection, and an external antenna.
Enter the basic data:
The main menu appears after registration; menu items are meant to be processed left to right. Connect the System Access Point to your home network for stability: navigate to "Settings" then "Network Settings." Choose Wireless (WLAN) or Wired (LAN). For wireless setup, choose your network SSID and enter the password. Once you tap "Save," the System Access Point exits Access Point Mode and no longer provides its own Wi-Fi.

Devices connected to the system are identified by assigning them to a room according to their function. Example — allocating an in-wall device:

Note: Sensor/actuator units are pre-programmed, meaning the link between a rocker and the actuator directly below it may already be allocated (shown as a dotted link in the app).
