    Overview

    The A&D UA-770BLE is a multi-user premium upper arm blood pressure monitor for home healthcare use, designed for adults only. It uses the oscillometric measurement method, supports up to 4 users with 60 stored measurements each, and pairs via Bluetooth® with the A&D Heart Track mobile app to automatically log and sync your readings.

    Intended Use & FCC Compliance

    • For use on adults only, in a home healthcare environment — do not use on newborns or infants.
    • Measures blood pressure and pulse rate for diagnostic purposes.
    • Complies with Part 15 of FCC rules (Class B).

    Key Precautions

    • This monitor is intended for lay use — consult your healthcare provider with any questions about your condition, and never self-diagnose or begin treatment based on readings alone.
    • Not water resistant — keep away from rain, sweat, and moisture. Avoid extremes of temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, shock, or dust.
    • Do not apply the cuff to an arm with an unhealed wound, an IV drip, blood transfusion, another medical device attached, or a severe circulatory deficit — consult a doctor first if any of these apply, including after a mastectomy or lymph node clearance.
    • Do not use near flammable gases or in high-oxygen environments (explosion/fire risk).
    • Keep at least 30 cm (12") away from wireless devices (phones, routers, walkie-talkies) which can interfere with the monitor.
    • Keep away from children/infants — hose and cable pose a strangulation risk, and small parts are a choking hazard.
    • Clean with a dry or lightly water-dampened soft cloth and neutral detergent only — never alcohol, benzine, or thinner.
    • Allow the monitor to acclimate to room conditions for about an hour before use after moving it between environments.

    Display & Symbols (Key Ones)

    • I.H.B. symbol: Irregular Heartbeat detected — see "What is an Irregular Heartbeat" below.
    • Movement error symbol: body/arm movement detected during measurement — remain still and re-measure.
    • Cuff fit error symbol: cuff attached too loosely — reapply correctly and re-measure.
    • Low battery (blinking): replace all batteries with fresh ones — never mix old and new.
    • Err 10 / communication failure: press START/STOP or remove/reinsert batteries and retry pairing; contact dealer if it persists.

    Setup

    Batteries

    Use 4 x 1.5V batteries (R6P, LR6, or AA) — insert with correct polarity. Replace all batteries together at least 2 seconds after the device turns off; never mix old and new batteries.

    AC Adapter (optional / included depending on model)

    Use only the specified AC adapter (TB-233: input 120V~60Hz 0.15A, output 6V 500mA). Grasp the adapter body (not the cord) when unplugging.

    Setting the Clock

    Press and hold SET until the year blinks, then step through year → month → day → hour → minute using the arrow buttons and SET to confirm each. Year range: 2024–2079. The device auto-powers-off after 3 minutes of inactivity during setup.

    Selecting the Correct Cuff

    Use the index marker printed on the cuff to confirm it falls within the proper fit range — if it's outside that range, order a replacement (arm cuffs are a consumable component).

    Applying the Cuff

    1. Insert your arm (preferably the left) into the cuff.
    2. Wrap the cuff about 0.5" (1–2 cm) above the inside of the elbow, directly against bare skin (not over clothing).
    3. Confirm the arm protector flap lies flat against the arm (skin should not be visible through the D-ring).
    4. Confirm the artery index marker aligns with the proper fit range.

    Taking a Measurement

    Before measuring

    • Avoid exercise, caffeine, alcohol, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.
    • Sit quietly for 5–10 minutes with back supported, legs uncrossed, feet flat, and the cuffed arm resting on a table at heart level.
    • Measure twice daily (morning and evening) for a consistent history.

    Normal measurement

    1. Press SET to select a user (1–4).
    2. Apply the cuff and press START/STOP. The cuff inflates automatically; it's normal for it to feel very tight.
    3. Deflation and measurement happen automatically — the heart mark blinks with each detected pulse.
    4. Systolic/diastolic pressure, AHA classification, and pulse rate display when complete.
    5. Press START/STOP to turn off (auto-off after 1 minute of inactivity).

    If your systolic pressure is expected to exceed 230 mmHg or re-inflation occurs repeatedly, use the manual pressure override: press and hold START/STOP while the cuff inflates past your expected systolic reading by 30–40 mmHg, then release to begin measurement.

    Bluetooth® Pairing

    • Download the A&D Heart Track app to receive measurement data automatically.
    • Communication range is about 10 m, reduced by obstructions (especially reinforced concrete) and interference from other wireless devices/microwaves.
    • Only one mobile device can be actively paired at a time; the monitor can store up to 10 paired devices (registering an 11th deletes the oldest).
    • To pair: enable Bluetooth on your phone, press and hold START/STOP until "Pr" displays, then release — the monitor is discoverable for about 1 minute. Accept the pairing request in the app. If "Err 10" appears or pairing fails, remove batteries and retry.
    • If the app can't receive data at time of measurement, up to 60 readings per user are stored and auto-transmitted on the next successful connection. The built-in clock syncs automatically from the paired mobile device.

    Memory

    Stores the last 60 measurements per user (4 users total). Press the up/down arrow buttons to cycle from the 3-measurement average through each stored reading, newest to oldest. Press SET while viewing memory to switch users. To delete a user's stored data: in standby, press and hold both arrow buttons until the indicator blinks.

    Irregular Heartbeat & AHA Classification

    The IHB indicator appears when the monitor detects a heartbeat that varies from your average rhythm — if you see it frequently, contact your physician. Each measurement is also classified per the AHA table below (adults, U.S.):

    Why Measure Blood Pressure at Home?

    Clinic readings can run 25–30 mmHg higher than home readings due to apprehension ("white coat syndrome"). Home measurement supplements your doctor's readings with a more complete, accurate blood pressure history. Blood pressure naturally varies 30–50 mmHg throughout the day — take readings at the same time daily for meaningful trends, and consult your doctor to interpret results.

    If these steps don't resolve the issue, contact your dealer. Do not attempt to open or repair the device — doing so voids the warranty.
