MedReady 1750 Medication Dispenser with Landline Modem
Caregivers Can Change Settings Over The Internet
As part of the 1700 series improved over the original 1600 series, the MedReady 1750 Medication Dispenser with Landline Modem provides advanced medication management features to simplify daily compliance. When connected to the Internet via the built-in landline modem, the MedReady 1750 is remotely accessible. Caregivers can log into a secure website and make changes to the dispenser from any location. The only time you need local access is when the tray needs refilling!
- Caregiver has remote access to controls via Internet
- Audible alarm notifies patient of dosage times
- Sends wireless alerts to caregiver when doses are missed
- Locked lid prevents tampering with medication
- Available Models: With Flashing Light, No Flashing Light
In addition to remote access, all MedReady models now come standard with a low frequency audible alarm. This buzzing alarm sounds when it’s time for the patient to take medication. Models that include a flashing light also provide visual alarms. When the door on the dispenser is opened, the alarm stops sounding/flashing.
Only the most recent medication dose is available. The pill tray rotates to the next dose when the next audible alarm sounds. If a patient misses a dose, the pill dispenser denies access to the missed dose.
If the alarm is not interrupted after 30 minutes (factory setting), MedReady automatically sends a notification to the caregiver via text message, email, and phone calls. Notifications are also sent when the medication tray fails to rotate into its appropriate position or when power has been out for 24 hours. These alerts are another great benefit to having an Internet-connected medication dispenser.
Supports Full Medication Regimens
The MedReady Medication Dispenser comes with a removable medication tray that holds 28 doses of dry medication (pills or capsules). Each of the 28 compartments is ramped for easy removal of medication, and can hold up to nine M&M-sized pills. The MedReady dispenser also has a card holder in the bottom for a printed copy of the patient’s prescriptions.
The medication dispenser is designed to ensure medication compliance without hassle. Divisions between compartments keep medications in place even if the dispenser is turned upside down. Furthermore, the dispenser is protected under lock and key, so that no one can tamper with doses.
Setting schedules and alarms for dosage times is as simple as setting a digital alarm clock. The medication dispenser’s extra large LED display can be viewed from any angle and is self-illuminating so it can be seen in any light.
Caregiver Web Portal
Caregivers can log into a secure website to remotely access the patient’s MedReady device. Whether it’s setting the time of day, setting the alarms, triggering early doses, putting the dispenser in vacation mode, changing non-compliance notification contacts and methods, or adjusting other features, all of these changes can be made through the web portal.
The web portal also allows caregivers to view the patient’s complete medication compliance log. Every day, MedReady sends reports to the web portal that indicate scheduled and taken medications for the past 24 hours. These are organized into the log.
How MedReady Connects
The MedReady 1750 series communicates via Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) to MedReady’s servers. The medication dispenser has an internal modem that must be connected to a conventional telephone line. MedReady conveniently uses AC power, but in the event of a power outage or short-term travel, it switches automatically to the included rechargeable battery pack.

Industry’s Premier Automated Medication Dispenser
We at MedReady partnered with a large medical group to field-test our device for 8 months before we finalized the design and features of the MedReady Medication Dispenser. We enlarged our tray to hold more medication, made the tray removable, and most importantly, we added a rechargeable battery pack to safeguard against power outages. This also means Medready can be used on short trips, eliminating the confusion of a suitcase filled with different pill containers.
