Store and review footage captured by your surveillance cameras with a network video recorder or digital video recorder. A network video recorder (NVR) connects directly to your Internet router and works with either wired PoE or wireless IP cameras. NVR’s can provide the option for additional storage through cloud servers provided by the manufacturer. Digital video recorders (DVR) work with wired, analog, or digital cameras without requiring an ethernet connection. DVRs store captured video from connected cameras onto a built-in hard drive or additional connected storage (SD memory card, separate computer hard drive, etc). NVR and DVRs are typically designed to fit within media cabinets, a dedicated enclosure, or placed onto a flat surface like a desktop or filing cabinet.
