  • PCS PulseWorx UPB Wired-In Passive Phase Coupler

    PCPPC1

Send UPB Signals Through a Split-Phase System

PulseWorx by Powerline Control Systems (PCS) Logo

Enhanced over the original model, this PCS PulseWorx UPB Wired-In Passive Phase Coupler, re-released in 2016, offers a simpler installation process to help you transmit UPB commands from one electrical phase (leg) to the other more easily than ever. The coupler is designed for use in a home with a 120V/240V split-phase electrical system. It installs in a junction box and wires into two phases (circuits) of the circuit breaker panel. This upgraded model features four main improvements over the original model:

    • Same size as wall switch models RWS, WS1DL-6, WS1R-15 to match
    • Fits in a single-gang box just like a wall switch dimmer
    • No longer requires junction box knockout
    • Offers convenient mounting points for secure installation

NOTE: This model does not amplify signals. To use a phase coupler with a built-in amplifier, alternatively purchase model SPR-1.

    UPB PulseWorx Lighting Control System

An integral part of a complete PulseWorx Lighting Control System, this device uses the patented UPB powerline communication technology (invented by PCS) to reliably communicate with any other UPB-compatible devices over the existing house electrical wires. No new wires are necessary, thus making PulseWorx perfect for retrofit situations. When initial configuration is complete, a single push of a button is all you need to activate any group of lights (or virtually anything else that connects to AC power wiring) throughout the house simultaneously.
