    Temperature and heat sensors primarily assist your thermostat in tracking temperature changes within and outside the home. If a thermostat can accept multiple temperature sensors placed around your home or office, the thermostat can more accurately determine when to activate the HVAC system to reach the desired temperature throughout the building. They can also be added into smart security systems to send alerts to you and an optional central monitoring system when extreme temperatures are detected within the home.
