Made for direct burial, the cable features waterproof construction with water-blocking PE tape. The wire's six conductors are shielded with overall AL foil/mylar and insulated by PVC within an LLDPE jacket. The cable also includes a tinned copper drain wire, a ripcord, and the SCP Cable Labeling System with sequential markings for easy identification. It comes in spools of 1,000 feet.

Other manufacturers often advertise indoor-rated PVC jacketed cables as direct burial cables, but that is misleading. An LLDPE jacket is far superior, as it can reliably withstand the demands of an outdoor burial installation with its greater durability, water resistance, and protection against other environmental factors.
