Rex can sense motion through thick doors, walls or glass. When motion is detected, Rex sounds one of four selectable alerts: an angry, barking watchdog, soothing sounds to alert you of a guest's arrival, alert sounds of both an angry watchdog and a warning siren, or continual tranquil sounds of the rainforest.
