This magnetic contact sensor will inform you of the Open/Close status of an object, which includes doors, windows, drawers, and more. With a Z-Wave range of up to 300 feet (line of sight) or up to a mile, the sensor provides reliable coverage for most homes and larger offices. Just add it to your Z-Wave network and install it on your door or window for enhanced security. Additionally, it features Z-Wave Plus certification and S2 encryption for fast performance and enhanced security; and you can even add it to home automation scenes such as turning on your home interior lights whenever the front door is opened or sounding the alarm when a closed window is opened.

Installation Details

The HomeSeer DS100 G8 Z-Wave Long Range Door/Window Sensor must be added to a Z-Wave network prior to using. The sensor easily mounts to the fixed jamb of the door/window while the magnet mounts on the actual door/window. The sensor has a distinguishing mark that identifies where the magnet should be aligned relative to the sensor. When the two are separated or brought together (opened or closed), the sensor will send an alert.

Z-Wave Plus v3 Certification

Z-Wave Plus v3 is an upgraded Z-Wave certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the latest Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 800 Series or Gen8 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus v3 compatible devices include extended wireless mess relay range (or even greater point-to-point range with Z-Wave LR), three layers of encryption, faster operation, and longer battery life.
