In addition to controlling various Bluetooth compatible devices, Flic supports hundreds of third-party integrations from leading tech and smart home brands and ecosystems including Amazon Alexa, Matter, IFTTT, SmartThings to act as additional action keys for specific smart scenes or tasks.

Flic Smart Button

The Flic 2 Smart Button provides world-class simplicity, versatility, and security for smart home functions. Each button can be triggered in 3 different ways: push, double push, and hold, to activate pre-programmed functions, devices, or complex automation scenes. Each trigger can be programmed to activate different individual devices, functions, or groups of devices. For example, a single push can turn on your Bluetooth speakers, a double push can activate an Alexa smart routine, and a hold can power down multiple devices simultaneously.

Essentially any device with Bluetooth compatibility can be controlled by a Flic Smart Button. A constant Bluetooth connection with a dedicated hub, such as your smartphone, tablet, or the Flic Hub Mini, is required in order for Flic Smart Buttons to retain their programmed triggers. If connected to a Flic Hub, a Flic Smart Button can utilize Bluetooth 5.0 Long Range to communicate with compatible devices up to 164 ft (50m) indoors or up to 656 ft (200m) direct line of sight. The Flic Button's Bluetooth connectivity paired with HID (Human Interface Device) and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) gives it unparalleled versatility in its usage and practical applications. With the HID (Human Interface Device) protocol, a Flic Button can act as a hotkey for specific programs on a Bluetooth compatible computer or smartphone. Program a Flic Button to power down your display or send a prewritten message or issue a command shortcut. Flic Buttons can also work as a MIDI (Music Instrument Digital Interface) button. Place a small button on your keyboard or soundboard to trigger a sound effect, begin or end recording, or turn the page of your music sheet app.

Flic Hub Mini

The Flic Hub Mini is perfect for building a smart system within a single household. The Flic Hub Mini maintains Bluetooth connections between Flic products and their controlled devices when a Bluetooth connected smart device (such as your smartphone) is not within operating range. This gives you and your family or roommates the freedom to continue using your Flic devices and maintain your programmed settings. Up to 63 Flic devices can be connected to a Flic Hub Mini or Flic Hub LR (sold separately).

Installation Details

Flic Buttons are powered by a single CR2032 battery with an average lifespan of up to 3 years. Every button comes with a reusable adhesive back, so you can place them wherever you wish and reposition them at your discretion. To set up a Flic Button, you will need an iOS or Android device with Bluetooth 4.0, the Flic app for iOS or Android, and an active internet connection.

The Flic Hub Mini is powered by a USB-C cable plugged into either a power adapter or power providing USB connection. The Flic Hub Mini connects to your Internet network via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and must be paired with your Flic app for initial setup.

Flic App

Add, remove, and program all of your Flic devices from the Flic mobile app for iOS and Android. The Flic app enables you to set up and personalize your Flic buttons and devices to activate various smart home functions and scenes at the push of a button. Flic utilizes an open API that is responsible for a range of functions made possible through integrations with iOS, Android, Mac OS, Windows, and Linux platforms. Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa compatibility further expand the range of devices and scenes that can be controlled by a Flic Button.
