Add multiple means of smart control over dimmable lighting with the Leviton Decora Smart Motion Sensing Dimmer (2nd Gen). This Wi-Fi connected, PIR motion sensing dimmer switch improves control over your indoor lighting with multiple methods of turning dimmable lights On/Off or adjusting their brightness level. The Decora Smart Motion Sensing Dimmer (2nd Gen) provides LED, incandescent, and CFL lamps with manual On/Off and Dim/Brighten control, motion sensing Auto-On and Auto-Off convenience, voice control, and remote control from your smartphone via the My Leviton, Apple Home, or smart home hub mobile applications. The brightness of controlled dimmable bulbs are configured within the My Leviton or other compatible mobile apps, and can be saved at different levels for various automated schedules, smart routines, or motion sensing Auto-On/Auto-Off functions. The Motion Sensing Dimmer can also be included in 3-way and multi-way applications with Wired or Wireless Decora Smart Companion switches.

For hands-free control and to save energy, the Motion Sensing Dimmer has two modes that can be set to turn lights on when motion is detected and the room is occupied and to turn lights off when the room is unoccupied, saving energy and creating hands-free lighting control.

In Occupancy mode, the sensor will automatically turn on your connected lights as soon as motion is detected within range and turn off lights when no motion is detected after a preset time. In Vacancy mode, the switch must be manually pressed or activated from your smartphone, and will later automatically turn off the lights when the room is left vacant and motion is no longer detected.

The motion sensor covers up to 900 square feet (30 x 30) with a 180-degree field of view, ensuring adequate coverage for even the largest rooms. If multiple Decora Smart Devices are within a close proximity or single room, a group of them can be programmed to activate when the Motion Sensing Dimmer turns on your lights. Additionally, the Dimmer's built-in ambient light sensor can be set to prevent lights from turning on during the day when enough natural light is detected.

The Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Generation family of products build upon the features and capabilities of the original Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices, creating a streamlined and more robust smart home experience. 2nd Gen Decora Smart Wi-Fi products are compatible with existing 1st Gen Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices including in-wall dimmers/switches and plug-in modules for appliances and lamps.

Control from Anywhere – No Hub Required

Control connected loads and lights using the free My Leviton app for iOS and Android, no hub required. Simplify control of the residence – schedule lights and connected loads to turn on/off at specific times or based on sunrise/sunset, easily group smart devices into rooms, and create activities (aka scenes) to command multiple lights at once.

Control up to 99 devices, 50 rooms, 50 activities (or scenes), and 5 schedules per residence and up to 20 residences per account.

Create schedules like "Good Morning" to activate appropriate lighting at preset times. For instance, at 6:30AM every Monday through Friday, turn the bedroom lights to 25% and master bath lights to 50%.

Installation Details

The Motion Sensing Dimmer fits in a standard wallbox and replaces a single-pole wall switch. A neutral wire is needed for installation.
