Automate your indoor lighting control with Z-Wave Plus technology by installing the JascoPro Series Z-Wave Plus In-Wall Smart Paddle Switch, 800 Series. This smart paddle switch works with all LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent lights and uses Z-Wave technology to enable On/Off remote control and local control for a connected light or appliance. As a Z-Wave 800 series switch, it utilizes the latest Z-Wave features such as a faster processor, more memory, and better energy efficiency. The smart paddle switch can be installed in single or multi-way wired applications and be included in multiple automation groups or scenes. It uses SmartStart enrollment for fast integration into your Z-Wave network and relies on blue LED light to inform you of its connection status or its location in the dark.

This Z-Wave Plus Smart Paddle Switch is designed with QuickFit and SimpleWire features:

QuickFit: Provides a housing that's smaller by 20% with no break-off tabs to remove, which is ideal for older-style switch boxes, multi-gang configurations, or any other application with limited space.

SimpleWire: Auto-detects line/load terminals, making installation easier and quicker by detecting line and load wires and configuring the dimmer accordingly. It also features an offset dual ground terminal to avoid switch box mounting screws.

Installation Details

The In-Wall Smart Switch works with LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent lighting, as well as any on/off resistive load up to 1800W and motor loads to 1/2 HP. The switch supports single-pole or multi-pole applications, and can be included in multiple zones/scenes.

The switch requires standard screw terminal installation with wiring connections for Line (Hot), Load, Neutral, and Ground. Multi-pole installation also requires a traveler wire.

Z-Wave Plus v3 Certification

Z-Wave Plus v3 is an upgraded Z-Wave certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the latest Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 800 Series or Gen8 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus v3 compatible devices include extended wireless range up to 1300 ft/400 m indoors, three layers of encryption, faster operation, and up to 10 year battery life.
