Maximize the energy saved through your lighting control system with the Leviton ODC PIR Ceiling-Mount Occupancy Sensor. This PIR sensor offers convenience by turning lights ON when movement is detected, and saves energy by automatically turning lights OFF when the room is vacant. And for special occasions, the sensor includes "Presentation Mode", which allows you to turn lights OFF manually and keep them OFF even while the room is occupied.
Leviton's series of ODC occupancy sensors feature daylight harvesting capabilities to help you further reduce energy consumption. When daylight harvesting is integrated into your lighting control system, the sensor can adjust wired lighting according to natural daylight levels. When daylight is abundant, lights stay off. When daylight is scarce, lights turn on!
The Leviton ODC PIR Ceiling-Mount Occupancy Sensor includes an angled light pipe and flat light pipe for open loop and closed loop daylight harvesting applications. The sensor features adjustable daylight design levels: Normal (OFF), Manual (ON/OFF) and Auto Calibration. Its photocell provides Auto-Calibration (Automatic Daylight Calibration) to intelligently measure light levels and determine optimal daylight design levels for closed loop applications.

Passive infrared (PIR) motion sensing is the most common form of motion detection technology. The sensor detects distortion of the infrared area to identify movement by a heat source. It's "passive" because the sensor only receives signals, and does not send out signals. These motion sensors are best used in enclosed spaces with a wide open view of the area to be monitored.
An ultrasonic (doppler shift) motion detector, in contrast, works like radar by sending out high-frequency sound waves and detecting how fast those waves bounce back to the sensor. Multi-technology motion detectors utilize both PIR and ultrasonic technologies for advanced false alarm immunity.
The Leviton ODC PIR Ceiling-Mount Occupancy Sensor uses digital, 4-element PIR circuitry to reduce false alarms. A Fresnel lens establishes a wide range of detection zones, requiring the heat source to move from one zone to another to trigger the sensor.
The occupancy sensor features four key automated functions that maximize lighting efficiency:
In the event of a power outage, time delay and other settings are saved. The sensor will return to its last known state when power is restored.
The occupancy sensor is compatible with incandescent lamps, electronic and magnetic ballasts, electronic and magnetic low-voltage transformers, and fans. It features H.I.S. (High Inrush Stability) technology designed to handle high inrush electronic ballast loads. No minimum load is required. The sensor's mechanically held 10A latching relay ensures reliable operation for any load type and reduces energy consumption better than electronically held relays.
Because this line voltage occupancy sensor is self-contained, there is no need for an external power pack or occupancy sensor wiring.
