When you retrofit the IST RETRO Door Station (RETRO-D, sold separately) into a large door station opening, such as a NuTone sized opening, use the IST RETRO Intercom Door Station Retrofit Mounting Frame to eliminate the need for drywall repair. The frame serves as a simple adapter plate, which screws onto the existing door station mounting box. Your new IST RETRO Door Station then screws onto the plate (screws provided).
