CCTCALTPRO
Automatically control any Cool Components low voltage device according to component temperatures by connecting the Cool Components Advanced LT Temperature Controller, Pro Version. This polarity-protected and temperature sensing controller activates connected Cool Component ventilation devices when a temperature set point is reached and automatically turns them off after the temperature has dropped back below the initial temperature setpoint. The Temperature Controller, Pro Version has five selectable temperature modes designed for different installation locations and average temperature ranges. When a temperature point is reached, the controller activates a connected fan at 50% speed and steadily increases the speed as necessary to provide adequate cooling. The variable speed control is ideal for applications where noise and effectiveness are equal concerns as the fans provide adequate cooling for your equipment.
Temperature Setpoint Modes
The controller's five selectable modes are identified by the number of beeps heard when pressing the mode button on the side of the unit. When the temperature setpoint is reached for each Mode, the fan will turn on at 50 percent speed, and then steadily increase speed until full speed is reached at roughly 10°F above the "On" setpoint. As the system cools down, the fan will slow down and turn off when the temperature drops roughly 3°F below the "On" setpoint.
Three alarm modes can be selected to warn of dangerously high temperatures for your electrical devices. Mode 1 deactivates the alarm, while Modes 2 and 3 set alarms to activate at a fixed high temperature setpoint of 115°F/41°C and 125°F/52°C respectively.
The controller is installed inline with a 12V DC power supply plugged into the controller which in turn connects to the fans. Place the sensor in the area where hot air will accumulate but not directly on equipment as the fans may ramp up too fast and/or never turn off. Do not place the controller or sensor directly on a desired monitored device. Both components can be mounted together or separate from each other. The temperature sensor can even be extended to support remote equipment applications. Multiple fans up to 2.5A can be connected using Y or Tri-Cables (sold separately).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Cool Components products are not available to ship outside the U.S. Please contact Cool Components directly for international orders.
Cool Components ventilation products help protect entire systems by dispersing the accumulation of heat generated by systems as a whole. Cooling products should be used within the system to cool and protect individual components. By using both Cooling and Ventilation Products, systems are fully protected from the heat generated by and accumulated by components.
