This electronic lever lock adds easy, keyless entry and features 10-digit backlit pushbuttons with automatic locking and a reversible lever to fit right-hand or left-hand doors. You'll be able to program up to 30 different user codes for family, friends, or temporary guests to unlock your door; and when it comes to installation it couldn't be easier since you can replace the existing door hardware with just a single screwdriver. No hard wiring is needed!

With the highest residential security rating available, the Kwikset Smartcode 917 Residential Electronic Halifax Lever supports up to 30 different user access codes and has optional programming code functionality to manage the lock setting from the exterior keypad instead of the programming button in the interior. The keypad can also be disabled for long periods of inaccessibility, allowing the lock to be accessed by key only. In case of emergencies, one-time access codes (which will be deleted after usage) can also be created.

Installation Details

The Kwikset Smartcode 917 is simple to install; all you need is a screwdriver to remove your old lock and screw in your new one. The lock is powered by a standard 9V battery (included), so no wiring is required. Low battery alerts are sent out to nearby users and codes are saved even when the keypad isn't powered.
