For added security, this electronic lock comes with an Intrusion Alert feature that will disable the keypad and sound the alarm after 3 wrong codes have been attempted. Disable the keypad with Vacation Mode if you're planning to be out of town for a long period of time. The Kwikset Powerbolt 240 electronic lock comes with a limited warranty (Lifetime Mechanical/ Finish, 1 Year Electronics) and is ideal for entry doors, side doors, garage doors, sheds, or storage rooms.

Installation Details
The Kwikset Powerbolt 240 is simple to install; all you need is a screwdriver to remove your old lock and screw in your new one. Depending on the installation, you may also need a ruler, hammer, and wood block. The lock is powered by 4 AA standard batteries (not included), so no wiring is required. When the lock is low on batteries, the lock will make 10 audible beeps and the lock button will flash in red 10 times.
