918 Series Features

This 918 Series Smart Lock saves up to 250 different user access codes at a time, allowing you to create and share access to your home with family, friends, and temporary guests. Each smart lock includes 1 MasterCode that grants one user complete control over the active passcodes and prevents other users from adding or deleting codes. Enter your code, use a standard key to unlock the door, or use your Z-Wave compatible smart hub's mobile app to remotely access your lock.

The 918 Series Smart Lock includes an Auto-Lock feature that automatically locks the Smart Lock after a selectable timed delay (30 seconds, 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, or 10 minutes). Use a Z-Wave controller or a smartphone app to lock/unlock your door from anywhere. An included backup keyway allows you to lock/unlock the door manually with a turnkey. 918 Series locks and deadbolts include Kwikset's SmartKey Security™ design to protect against the common and advanced break-in attempts to keep your family and property safe. SmartKey Security™ also allows you to easily re-key the lock yourself in seconds, leaving lost or unreturned keys obsolete.

Home Connect Technology

Kwikset's Home Connect smart locks use smart wireless protocols, such as Zigbee or Z-Wave, to connect your front door lock with other smart devices in your home, such as the security system, light switches, thermostat and more to create automated grouped scenes, send out alerts, or trigger preprogrammed events. Home Connect Technology benefits for Kwikset Smart Locks include:

Installation Details

The Kwikset SmartCode 918 Series Smart Lock is designed for use with most standard interior or exterior doors. All the necessary hardware (latch, strike, screws, etc.) is included, along with a template for door preparation and detailed instructions.

• Installs on a standard door 1-3/8 – 1-3/4 inches thick
• Adjustable latch fits existing backset of either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"
• Suitable for right-handed or left-handed operation

The Smart Lock is powered by four (4) AA batteries, sold separately, and lasts for approximately one year.
