ABBM20702
When a visitor comes to your door, answer it remotely through an indoor intercom or your mobile device by setting up the ABB-Welcome IP Video Single Family Home Kit. This complete video door intercom system comes with an outdoor station with a speaker, microphone, and camera and an indoor station with a hands-free intercom and video screen. It also includes the IP Gateway, which allows you to answer your door and speak with visitors through mobile devices. Finally, the kit includes the required system controller and mounting box. Once set up, the system allows you to not only talk with and see visitors, but also optionally connect an electric lock for remote unlocking, and even optionally switch on a light through the indoor station.
7" All-Touch Video Hands-Free Indoor Station
This is the most feature-rich indoor station for the ABB Door Entry System. It allows you to talk with visitors at your door and see them on the touchscreen, talk room-to-room with people in your home, send SOS emergency alarms to a Guard Unit (sold separately), and control auxiliary functions. When the station rings, simply press a button to answer. The built-in speaker and microphone provide clear audio communication, and the six touch-sensitive buttons make it easy to access other functions in the system.
The station has five touch-sensitive buttons that are pre-programmed for various functions, and one that is custom programmable. These buttons function as follows:
Video Outdoor Station with 1 Round Pushbutton (Stainless Steel)
The Video Outdoor Station is a pre-assembled four-module outdoor station that includes the Camera Module (M251021C), Audio Module (M251021A-A), and Pushbutton Module with 1 Button (51011P1), as well as the required 3-module Aluminum Faceplate (51023CF-A). This configuration allows a visitor to initiate a call by pressing the pushbutton and to talk with the resident, while the resident can view visitors through the camera from a video indoor station. The station also supports connection of up to two electric door locks for remote door strike release through your indoor station or mobile device.
With a built-in speaker and microphone hidden behind a solid aluminum face (no speaker holes), the Audio Module provides two-way communication and can optionally trigger an output. The module allows you to connect an electric lock for remote door unlocking. No independent power supply is needed for the lock. A second terminal for a second lock is also available. The lock release time is adjustable for security.
When a visitor presses the Pushbutton to initiate a call, one of the Audio Module's three status LEDs indicates whether the call is successfully made or the system is busy. If the call is successful, the call LED illuminates. A second LED illuminates when communication is possible, and the third LED illuminates if the resident has remotely unlocked a connected door for the visitor to enter.
The live video feed from the Camera Module's wide-angle camera can be viewed anytime through the Video Indoor Station. Built-in IR lighting ensures you can see clear images even at night, and a built-in heater prevents fog from covering the lens and obscuring your view. Furthermore, the camera's scratch-resistant and fire-resistant finish helps prevent vandalism.
IP Gateway
The ABB IP Gateway enables remote Internet access for your system, allowing you to answer calls and control output functions from a mobile device through the free "ABB Welcome" app for iOS and Android mobile devices. When your system receives a call from an outdoor station, the call is immediately directed to your connected smartphone or tablet. Simply bring up the app to talk with the person at your door.
Please note, your mobile device must have the app running in the background in order to receive calls. You can optionally enable the system to call your phone number directly for audio communication by using this IP Gateway in conjunction with the Telephone Gateway (model 83350-500, sold separately), which does not require an app.
System Controller
As the brains of the system, the controller connects the included stations together, allowing communication between them. Each component connects to the controller with two wires. Suitable wire (sold separately) includes doorbell wire, Cat5, coax, or any other one pair of twisted pair wiring (no need to double up). Overheat, short-circuit, and lightning protection help prevent damage to your system.
Both the indoor and outdoor station wire into the System Controller, each using two wires.
The Video Hands-Free Indoor Station can either surface-mount to the wall using its screw holes, desktop-mount it into an ABB Desktop Bracket (42311D, sold separately). After the station is wired into the controller, it simply snaps into the bracket.
The Video Outdoor Station installs into the included 3-gang Flush-Mounted Box, along with the included faceplate. The box can be either recessed into the wall or surface-mounted onto the wall. When surface-mounting, a same-size Rain Hood (sold separately) is required.
The ABB IP Gateway also wires into the System Controller. Once connected to the controller, it needs to be connected to the Internet and configured through the online ABB portal, where you will log into your free account. (A software update may also be required.) Through the portal, you can manage settings, connect your mobile devices, adjust access rights for each device, and more.
The Gateway and the System Controller are designed to mount onto a DIN rail (not included) according to DIN EN 500022.
