This smart lock can be installed to control most standard mechanical mortise locks (North American) and offers limitless options of mortise lock manufacturers, lever styles, finishes, and keyways to pair with. It features an attractive modern look with an exterior illuminated touchscreen keypad that matches just about any design style of mortise lock. The Alfred ML2 provides multiple keyless entry options, including PIN codes, RFID cards, the Alfred Home mobile app using Bluetooth ekeys, or with Z-Wave, Zigbee, or Wi-Fi technologies (Wi-Fi integration bridge, Z-Wave, and Zigbee modules and controllers sold separately). It can store up to 250 unique PIN codes (4-10 digits in length) and up to 250 RFID Cards as well as an unlimited number of Bluetooth ekeys using the Alfred Home mobile app. A rechargeable lithium battery is included and the lock offers voice prompts in 5 different languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin).

4 Ways to Access the Alfred ML2 Smart Lock Panel

The Alfred ML2 Smart Lock can be accessed using either a 4 to 10 digit PIN code or Bluetooth key shared from the Alfred Home mobile app. Alfred locks help hide and protect your PIN codes as you enter them into the keypad using Visual PIN Protection. This security feature hides a valid PIN code within a longer number sequence, allowing you to input random numbers before or after an uninterrupted valid code. This prevents onlookers from correctly copying your PIN, keeping access to your home secure.

PIN Code Entry: Up to 250 different PIN codes and 1 Master PIN code are saved per lock, allowing family, friends, temporary guests, and employees to enter their own codes. Codes are easily created and deleted using either the locks's keypad or the Alfred Home mobile app.

User codes are categorized in the following ways:

• Permanent: A standard PIN code that will work at any time, 24/7. Ideal for everyday access by family or friends.
• Scheduled: Set a date range for the code to be used within that selected time frame. Perfect for renting out a vacation home, letting in dog sitters, or other temporary arrangements.
• One-time Use: Set up a code that can only be used once during a 24-hour period. Perfect for providing access to contractors or other one-time appointments.

RFID Access Cards: The Alfred ML2 Smart Panel can store up to 250 unique RFID Cards and PIN codes can be scheduled, time sensitive, or recurring to suit any need. RFID Cards are ideal for properties such as hotels, office buildings, hospitals, college campuses, and other buildings where numerous employees can be easily given access via RFID Cards.

Alfred Home App: This free Bluetooth connected mobile app for iOS and Android allows for the creation, sharing, and deletion of PIN codes and Bluetooth eKeys, as well as adjusting device settings. An unlimited amount of Bluetooth ekeys can be created and shared. No smart home hub is required, all you need is to enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.

Additional remote features (Remote lock/unlock, reviewing lock activity, and receiving alerts) as well as Alexa and Google Home support are unlocked with the integration with a Alfred Connect Wi-Fi Bridge (sold separately) and router.

Z-Wave Plus/Zigbee: Alfred offers optional Z-Wave Plus V2 and Zigbee 3.0 add-on modules (sold separately) that will make the Alfred ML2 even smarter. These smart modules will allow you to connect to a compatible Z-Wave/Zigbee controller and provide lock/unlock commands that may be issued from the device's interface or 3rd party app.
